Public bug reported:
In ubuntu jaunty alpha6 if user A logs in and mutes sound, switch to
user B, unmute sound, switch back to user A, the sound panel applet gets
slightly confused. The sound works as expected, and the red x overlay
disappears as expected, but the dropdown with the volume slider and the
mute checkbox leaves the checkbox set, which is wrong.
Unsetting the checkbox leaves the sound running, as expected, and then
setting the checkbox both mutes the sound and brings back the red x
overlay, as expected, so there is an easy way to recover.
** Affects: gnome-alsamixer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
