I have the same functional result with the his version. How do I know
which one to use?

I have this:
  Bus 007 Device 003: ID 05e3:0503 Genesys Logic, Inc.
in an:
  AHTEC S37S laptop
It is a turnable (back and front) webcam that is inside the lid of my laptop with a blue LED on the left of the lens opening.

When this will be packages the version selection will have to be
automated.
