thanks Geir for your atention ... is there any way to check your theory
about intel driver crash during install? any original log to look at?

it seems that in the reporter case, it is a different video card, the
problem solved whithout any change ... but the reconfigure test makes me
think that there may be another problem, because there is no crash
during that operation that can explain that the vesa configuration
mantains ...

is there any test you suggest to get more info about it?

and can you help me to know where i can see the intel driver list
compatibility and recomendation for each card? there are a few drivers
that could be working? where can i see the diferences betwen them?
