I am trying out 8.10 using the live CD that Canonical mailed me.  An
icon at the top told me that I had an error that I could report, but
when I tried, it told me that I needed to update libc6, libgcc1 and
gcc-4.3-base.  Running apt-get install libc6 worked. Then I tried the
next package:
