I think I am experiencing the same thing. In a 64bit jaunty
installation. I cannot move any windows they all open and stay in the
top left corner. Alt + tab does not work. All the borders are gone so
windows cannot be resized, minimized or maximized. I am able to switch
between windows from the window list on my panel although once briefly
windows did not show up there either.

All this goes away if visual effects are set to none. Once when setting
visual effects to normal I was logged out.

I have an integrated intel x3100 graphics card GMA965. In the past there
have been many problems with this card and compiz/any graphics.

This started with an update in jaunty to compiz (I actually think the
old compiz package was removed and a differently named one installed) a
few days ago around when this bug was filed.
