I'm using an intrepid on intel graphics card with an eeebox, attached with a dvi/hdmi connector to a LCD TV toshiba.
My problem is that the displaysize of the screen is not recognized by X and the desktop goes beyond TV limits, also DPI is wrong. This is due to DDC reporting bad values. I tried adding no DDC option and real sizes to xorg.conf without results. This happens both with:
ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3
X.Org X server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display d
and
ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.5.1-1ubuntu5~intrepid
X.Org X server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display
taken from testing repository.
