Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: python-mako
Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and I'm trying to install python-mako for a little project of mine.
When I try to install it (via apt-get, synaptic or whatever), apt follows the "recommends" packages and so it tries to install python-beaker, which in turn "recommends" python-sqlalchemy.
The end result is that while I'm trying to install a templating engine, I end up with an ORM/database toolkit too..
This wouldn't be a big problem per se, but on another project of mine I'm using SQLalchemy 0.5.2 installed from source, so I can't install the Intrepid-provided package, as it is still at version 0.4.8..
Would it be possible to change the "python-mako recommends python-beaker" to "python-mako suggests python-beaker"?
Many thanks for your time!
