piuparts needs to be fixed to work well on Ubuntu out of the box. This
is one of the things. The workaround for this problem is to use the
option --skip-minimize. You will probably want to use the option --no-
symlinks as well.

Alternatively, you can use the --mirror option: --mirror
"http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu main universe"

However, --skip-minimize seems to work better when I try things.
