Public bug reported:

I was installing Java 6 through the add/remove on Ubuntu 8.10 and I
accpeted the Terms and everything.  After I was done it said that it had
crashed with an error I couldn't find it I am sorta new to Linux just
thought I give it a try out and I was downloading the essentionals!
