  Bug Description:
  
  1: Use root to login the system without gdm (console mode),e.g.,implement "Ctrl+Alt+F1" and then "#killall gdm".
  2: Start X from console using "startx -- -depth 16"
  3: The X window cannot start up and the screen went black
  4: Using normal user to start X is successful.

  The bug also reproduced on Jaunty_Alpha2_X64 platform,when implementing "startx -- -depth 16", screen went
  black.
