  If I switch to an X VT (either by switching to a console VT and then
  back, or by starting a "guest session") then screen goes black (but the
  backlight is still on).
  
  This happens on Ubuntu Jaunty (updated a few hours ago) when using the
  UXA as the AccelMethod. When using EXA everything works fine.
