** Description changed:

  After installing the recent KDE 4.2 packages from intrepid-backports, I
  am no longer able to play fullscreen video for a significant period of
  time without X crashing at random. Both VLC and mplayer cause this
  problem. There is very little information in any of the logs about the
  crash.
