[Bug 337866] [NEW] [Jaunty] Regression: ad-hoc stopped working

Public bug reported:

After an update to linux 2.6.28-8 kernel I cannot set Ad-Hoc mode on my
wi-fi adapter (X-Micro WLAN USB 54g).

It now says:
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported

I had this issue in previous kernels (before 2.6.27), though I'm not
sure it is the same bug.
