[Bug 335869] Re: crash (can't draw desktop) if desktop effects are enabled

i should add that i get no other error logs on my system while compiz is enabled.
if there is anything i could do to provide a better bug report, please let me know, i'm eager to squash this bug!

on a sidenote:
as you can see in dmesg.txt, i get this IOMMU warning
[    0.004000] Please enable the IOMMU option in the BIOS setup
[    0.492232] PCI-DMA: using GART IOMMU.
[    0.492232] PCI-DMA: Reserving 64MB of IOMMU area in the AGP aperture

i tried all kinds of kernelparams to get rid of it, but then, all
information i found was more for kernelhackers then real people ;)

since this is a system without ANY agp capabilities i also tried kernel param 'iommu=noagp' but the message still comes up. is there any advice on this? or should i file another bug for this? 
i found some people having the same warning, but it doesn't stops them from running compiz...
