This bug was about a build failure, the comments #6 and #7 are about
runtime problems.

hint: make sure you have the package 'ubuntu-restricted-extras' or at
least 'libavcodec-unstripped-52' installed. The libavcodec from main is
not linked against lame at all, only the version from multiverse is.
