[Bug 379360] Re: [Karmic] VLC sound does not reproduce

Ok, this is a bit embarassing, but I have solved my problems.

I went to vlc preferences and under advanced settings I went to

audio -> output modules -> ALSA

and chose the device I want (hw0:0)

This solved the problem for me and I am able to reproduce the 'bug' by
setting the choice back to 'default'

Does this help for you other guys as well?
