removed it) without difficulty. attempt to kill program.

# shows a different file from the first to second kill attempts. as i am
n00b, this may be natural, but it surprised me as well.
katie at compy:~$ sudo mpd --kill

directory

mpd: no process killed
# so i decide to try again.
katie at compy:~$ sudo apt-get install mpd

# so i go to synaptic ui to uninstall the packages and find that all
three packages were, according to synaptic, installed. uninstalled all
three. i have had difficulties configuring mpd today.
