[Bug 388525] Re: Firefox crashed downloading Java 6 Maybe my router has issues

After what I thought was a good boot up the system seemed to jam when I
tried to login to my router and launch Firefox.

It said that it was updating Sun Java 6 but then I noticed this weird
looking "Batman, CRASH, BOOM" like icon just to the left of my usual
WiFi signal level meter on what I guess is called the "titlle bar". (I
am new to Linux except for playing with Mandrake and Redhat 7.0)

As for an unrelated matter:

PS Gentlemen, Please modify the wifi logon process. I have 2 and
occasionaly 3 Wifi adapters on my laptop. 1) internal stock wifi
adapter, 2) a Wifi adapter in the PCMCIA slot and an occasional 3) a USB
Wifi directional antena adapter from Hawking.

I don't see an option to pick one adapter to use via one of my 3 wifi
connections. Its not clear if I should or can log into one router with 1
adapter or should I log in to all 3 routers with all 3 adapters? Would
it make the speed any better? I remember in Windows there was an option
where there was an option to double your dsl speed by using two routers
and adapters then someway they would intertwine with each other and give
you twice theu pload and download bandwidth.

Can that be done with Ubuntu? I assume the answer is yes but what I
truly mean is can someone that has little knowledge of linux log into 2
routers and double there speed? I dont see an option to do so. If it
can be done it would be a very nice option to offer and to have?

Kudos. I was amazed at how much faster the internet (DSL) part worked on
my compier.

My Acer Aspire Laptop with its 120 gig drive has "OK" dsl speed after I
restore the entire system however after Vista does all its updates and
installed a nearly 700 megs of Service Pack 3 then after that the net
gets so slow. Its like there is something wrong with the way the
graphics are transfered. That slow down is what caused me to try Ubuntu.

Now I use Ubuntu almost exclusivly for anything to do with the dsl net.

Please keep up the good work.

In closing I wanted to bring to your attention that I don't see an
option to instal an anti-virus program free or for a fee. I am a bit
affraid that I wilL pick up a virus and not know it.

Great product.

Coley
