I thought that the icons were removed to have a more polish interface
(but I don't agree with this choice)

Ted Gould: are you interested in revising this decision? it you want to
keep it without icons I have a suggestion: change the applet icon when
the mouse moves over the different choices, accordingly to which option
is currently highlighted
