mplayer doesn't seem to have support for the dtscd audio codec:

$ mplayer -ac help|grep dts

dts         libdca    working   DTS-libdca
hwdts       hwac3     working   DTS through S/PDIF

$ uname -a
Linux marvin 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:58:03 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ aptitude search mplayer|grep ^i
