Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mythtv

Using Ubuntu 9.04.
I had previously installed MythTV 0.21.0+fixes19961-0ubuntu8 by downloading and compiling the sources myself.
Later I discovered you can add it by the "add/remove" menu in the applications menu. The install failed with a message saying /home/mythtv does not exist. It also set the mysql password to a very non-memorable character string and flashed up a message (which I can't remember) on how to reset it....
Later when I started mythbackend, it could not sign on to the database, but I don't think this is the main error.

Expected behaviour: no errors when installing; signs on to the database
without error.

ProblemType: Package
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ErrorMessage: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Package: mythtv-backend 0.21.0+fixes19961-0ubuntu8

Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64

** Affects: mythtv (Ubuntu)
