[Bug 384479] [NEW] h264: jumpy playback

Public bug reported:

when playing back a h264 file the video playback is jumpy. This means it stutters forward and backward in time. The video is HD youtube movie.
I file this bug against libavcodec, because both totem and VLC are affected, which afaik use both avacodec for h264.
This does not happen when I use MPlayer. Instead it complains that "first frame is no keyframe", but then plays back the movie fine.

Update:
just found out that MPlayer uses liavcodec as well, but it is not affected by the bug. Here is the output of MPlayer:
