open up a terminal ... (Applications --> Accesories --> Terminal)
once the terminal loads type: apt-cache policy flashplugin-nonfree
highlight the output of that command
right click terminal window
left click "copy"
in a reply to this bug report
right click the text window
left click "paste"

Status in “flashplugin-nonfree” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

will not play any video on web that uses adobe flash player. looked at
adobe player files in file system and all those files have a lock icon
by them. maybe need to unlock those somehow
