** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I am running 32 bit Kubuntu Jaunty on a Toshiba A135 with Intel GMA950.
When Desktop Effects are enabled and an OpenGL screensaver is activated,
parts of the desktop will flicker through it. When the mouse is moved,
the screensaver will disappear, showing the entire desktop behind it,
but it might also go completely black. After a few seconds of typing the
password to unlock, the screensaver will reappear with the password
prompt partially flickering through it. It still successfully unlocks.
The problem is most noticeable with the screensavers Flux and Euphoria,
though all OpenGL screensavers I've tested exhibit the problem to some
  extent.

Kern.log shows the following shortly after running locking/unlocking:
  [87803.147414] [drm:i915_getparam] *ERROR* Unknown parameter 6

Works for this are disabling Desktop Effects or using a non-OpenGL
  screensaver.

X seems entirely autoconfigured, and xorg.conf doesn't contain much.

Xorg is version 7.4, xserver version 1.6.0, with xserver-xorg-video-
  intel2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9

I have attached Xorg.log and lspci -vvv, let me know if more or more
  detailed info is needed.
