Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.  However, this is likely due to the fact that that a different
install-info script than the Debian one needed by the package
installation process is being used.  One possible reason for this is if
you installed TexLive 2008.  Regardless this is not an issue with the
pspp package itself and I am marking the task invalid.  You might find
this bug comment helpful in resolving this issue.
