Public bug reported:

in some cases, the volume osd doesn't reappear when it should.
tested with ubuntu 9.04, amd64 with latest versions of packages (gnome-osd 0.12.2-1).
steps to reproduce:
1. open rhythmbox.
2. minimize it to tray, so as to make it notify you of track changes via osd.
3. change volume using keyboard hotkeys (volume osd appears).
4. change track (via hotkeys or tray context menu) - track osd appears under volume osd.
you may have to change it again in a few seconds (to prevent track osd from disappearing).
5. when volume osd disappears (but while the track osd is still there), change volume using keyboard hotkeys - the volume osd doesn't come up (but the volume does change).
the reverse is not true - if you change volume after changing the track, the track osd stays on screen until the volume osd disappears - and then it disappears. also, in this case, if you change the track (so as to keep the track osd) and the volume osd vanishes, it reappears correctly.
