Please sync ginac 1.5.2-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Upstream adopt the change from the last ubuntu revision: it was a FTBFS,
and now a clean ginac package builds fine on karmic:
