Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

Hi

I think the boot would be cleaner if GRUB 2 wouldn't draw anything by
default and just start the kernel. This would likely show the BIOS
screen with its logo or a blank screen instead of a technical menu which
most users shouldn't have to worry about.

Implementing a new option like the hiddenmenu one as requested in bug
#386916 but with no message at all, and disabling the current clear
screens which the various term drivers call should be enough.

Bye
