[Bug 396765] [NEW] Lockup when rolling stats

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: zangband

Zangband locks up on my system when you try to roll stats. After
entering the last weighting, the program consumes 100% CPU but does not
produce any additional output.

To reproduce:

1. start zangband
2. Zangband says "[Press any key to continue]", so press enter
3. Zangband says "Savefile does not exist. -more-", so press enter
4. Press B, T, A to choose a male human warrior
5. Press enter six times to accept a weighting of 50 for each stat

Result: no further output from Zangband and 100% CPU consumption. The
display continues to show the "Enter weight for:" prompt and the six
stats and the 50 weighting for each.

Pressing CTRL-C will terminate the program. The terminal contains no
output. This happens whether Zangband is started from xterm, rxvt-
unicode, or the console.
