Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compizconfig-settings-manager
In Jaunty (and probably others) If you turn extra visual effects on in
gnome-appearance-properties, set custom settings in compiz config
settings manager, turn extra visual effects off, and then turn extra
visual effects on again, compiz config settings manager does not
remember the custom settings you had set. Personally I do this when I
want to run a game or graphics program that doesn't play well with
Compiz. The workaround I have found is to back up compiz and then
restore the settings each time I turn extra visual effects back on.
** Affects: compizconfig-settings-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
