[Bug 319339] [NEW] [jaunty] x server (intel) very sluggish, using 30% CPU when idle

Within the last week or so on Jaunty, my X server has become extremely
sluggish.  It uses 25-35% CPU all of the time, even when the machine is
idle.  Occasionally I see the cursor jumping back and forth--not sure
whether this is related or not.
