Hi,

I don't have any crash with the 2 pictures you posted. 
Can you delete $HOME/.hugin and try again?

If it still crash, can you post a screen shot of the optimization's
options?

And please, run hugin from within gdb (run 'gdb hugin' from the command line and then the 'run' command).  Then, play with hugin, and when it freeze, come back to the terminal, and run the 'backtrace' command.
And post the resulting output.
