** Description changed:
Using Hardy with kernel 2.6.27
Steps to reproduce:
Dock your laptop, plug an external monitor into the dock and set up X to
use both screens.
Now press the undock button. (You will need the intrepid kernel; 2.6.24
freezes if you try to undock, see bug #189185.)
When the light goes green, remove your laptop from the dock.
Expected result: the system should return gracefully to a setup without
an external monitor - e.g. bringing my panels back to the laptop screen.
Actual result: the system appeared to hang. After returning it to the
dock, it rebooted.
UPDATE: I have tried to reproduce this but failed, so not sure what
happened. However, it's definitely true that X does not figure out that
my external monitor has gone away. Will possibly file an alternate bug.
