** Description changed:

I use Ubuntu 8.04.1, use Compiz, Intel945 video card, HP nx7400 Notebook

When some application starts using video overlay the system hungs up
completely (only mouse pointer is still alive).

Tested with VLC media player, Mplayer, system hungs up when starting a movie,
after switching output module to X11 which is unaccelerated and do not use overlay everything works fine and never hungs up.

Totem hungs up as well but it doesn't have any option to change output
  module.

Tested also in skype and cheese with video camera, both hungs up the the system when
starting video in skype or running the cheese.

This bug apperars in about 1 per 3 sessions.
