Hello!?  Anybody home?

I understand hardware specific bugs aren't easy to fix as few people
have the hardware to hand to experiment with.  If I was even faintly
competent with C and device drivers I would be all over this but sadly I
am not, however...

I have a thinkpad x30 with this problem and if anyone is willing to take
on this bug I will gladly help by typing whatever you want or I could
maybe give you ssh on it, hell if you live near NYC you can come borrow
the damn thing for a few weeks if that's what it takes - I need my
