[Bug 315420] [NEW] Wine under Intrepid - text illegible - completly garbled

Binary package hint: wine

The wine GUI is completely unusable under Intrepid (Kubuntu Desktop
8.10) as the screen is completely garbled. This also affects aspects of
applications running under wine (like tooltips)  - for example in IE6
the 'title' text for hrefs appear garbled too.

I have attached a screen shot of the winecfg screen to illustrate.

Used wine under Heron (on SAME hardware), no probs, seems to be Intrepid
related issue.
