Hello:

I do not run Compiz Fusion because I am a KDE 4 user.  I don't use KDE
4's integrated compositing because I find that my system feels slower
when I have compositing enabled, and I don't much care for all the
excessive effects and transitions.  Further, compositing liked to crash
X, and did not work with Google Earth or Sauerbraten.

I also am using Google Earth installed from Google's site, rather than
the Medibuntu package.  I'm not sure if that will help you or not.

I hope that provides some kind of help to you.
