I'm using Debian with php-openid 2.0.0-2 installed which is the same
code. Although I couldn't reproduce your bug with my openid.org account
I'm receiving 'strange' behaviour, too. After installing the new
upstream version 2.1.2 this seems to be solved (with the same example
scripts from 2.0.0).
I'll probably not upload the new version to Debian before the Lenny
release (maybe it'll be installed to experimental but not to unstable)
to be able to solve any upcoming problems in 2.0.0 more easily.
I guess it'll be copied to ubuntu soon after that.

Cheers,
Hauke
