The post-install script fails with a message about an "Archive-Keyring" not available, and asks "Is Ubuntu-keyring installed?"
Evidently, Ubuntu-keyring is a requirement for a successful install.
It should, therefore, be a dependency in the package database!

Ubuntu-keyring is an "Important" package, and could, perhaps, be
assumed.  However this was a temporary situation, and the next thing I
was doing anyway was to (re-)install that.  Only a short time was lost
to this bug; however, we could do it "right" and none would have been
lost.
