Wow, this sounds weird.  This bug should go upstream to
bugs.freedesktop.org - would you mind filing it upstream there?  You've
collected enough data.

The one other thing you *might* want to do before upstreaming is to test
against Tormod's 2.6.99.x intel driver on the xorg-edgers page:
