I am not using either of those. It was still occuring without the
gdesklets.. It is not now because I reinstalled Ubuntu. That worked fine
for a day or two then the internet connection suddenly quit working. So
until I have more time to deal with that I have given up on Ubuntu for
the most part.

Are you using Desktop Effects or Compiz?
Does the problem still occur if you are not running gDesklets?

Status in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
I tried unsuccessfully to install some gdeskletts. Now every window I open
stays in one corner and can't be moved. The top of the window will be gray,
not brown, and can not be maximized or minimized. To close it I have to go to
file and select quit. The windows selector at the bottom of the screen is not
showing any windows even though it is installed. The F11 trick doesn't work
on this one. I have Ubuntu 8.10.
