This bug was fixed in the package mythbuntu-default-settings -

mythbuntu-default-settings (0.76-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  * debian/preinst:
    - Only remove /etc/xdg/mythbuntu/menus if it's a symbolic link
      from an earlier package. (LP: #329658)
  * etc/xdg/mythbuntu/xfce4/xfconf/xfce4-desktop.xml:
    - Set scale type to 4.
