[Bug 327610] [NEW] Blank screen with Intel 945GME and Jaunty 9.04

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

Hardware: Acer Aspire One with Intel 945GME graphics.
xserver-xorg-video-intel version: 2:2.6.1-1ubuntu2

After booting the screen is black in both console and X, although both
are working (startup sound is heard and can run commands blind on the
console.) There are no error messages in Xorg logs.

I can get the display working by selecting "recovery mode" at grub
prompt, and then selecting "resume booting" at the recovery menu
(without doing anything else.) This results in a working system.
