Hi Gael,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (32bit) with the
standard packages:

apt-cache policy mayavi2
mayavi2:
  Installed: 2.2.0-1
  Candidate: 2.2.0-1
  Version table:
 *** 2.2.0-1 0
        500 http://rw.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I've been trying some things and apparently I had the order of the
ipython options wrong. At first I used 'ipython -pylab -p scipy
-wthread', which resulted in a grey, empty window, that was
unresponsive. Putting '-wthread' as the first option shows the window,
but without the data and the pipeline browser and the 3D plot are
relatively small. Resizing the window redraws them at the correct size.
Sometimes (seemingly at random) the data is not present, only the
wireframe of the axes. Restarting ipython sometimes solves this, so in
general it's workable.

Thanks,

Lennart.
