Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
Updated to the latest xserver-xorg on Jaunty (amd64) today, using the
NVidia GLX. After logging in with GDM the system never loads, freezing
with only the wallpaper and mouse cursor. Killing compiz.real allows the
system to continue booting normally.
I attached to compiz.real in gdb, and the output is attached.
Each time I pressed 'r' in gdb, a different portion of the desktop came
up (top panel, bottom panel, gnoe-do, desktop icons, etc.)
xserver-common 2:1.5.99.902-0ubuntu3
xserver-xorg-core 2:1.5.99.902-0ubuntu3
nvidia-glx-180 180.27-0ubuntu1
Let me know if there's any other information you need.
** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
