[Bug 326211] [NEW] mvs fails with references to isa

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libwww-mediawiki-client-perl

Using libwww-mediawiki-client-perl (0.31-1.1) in Ubuntu 8.10

On running mvs login, or any other command, I get the following error:
 Doing login with host: en.wikipedia.org and lang: en
 Can't call method "isa" without a package or object reference at /usr/bin/mvs line 96.

This should work without errors

I've attached a patch that prevents the isa errors, and a similar error
with printing errors (this just redirects people to the log)

I'm not a perl person so presumably there are better ways to fix this
