Same problem here, Fresh intrepid install for server, all updates
installed, no compiz, nvidia driver installed.

I've got a few different clients, but i've confirmed that it doesn't
matter what the client is. When I move the mouse back to the server, all
of the the mouse buttons are completely ignored as well as the scroll
wheel. I'm using a microsoft intellimouse optical usb mouse.

Also, i'm using the xinerama extension, but the same thing occured when
I disabled all of my screens except for the primary.
