[Bug 325796] [NEW] Drawing error with Visual Effects when 'Unminimizing' a window

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

First of all this issues might be related to other bugs already filed
(e.g. 99847) but the symptoms are not exactly the same.

If 'Visual Effects' (Normal or Extra mode!) are turned drawing errors
occur (see screen shot). This happens all the time a window is
unminimized or started. It seems that these errors are relict's of the
maximize effect.

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 with all updates (except the kernel; I'm using the 2.6.27-9-generic, see Answer:#59032).
The computer is a Sony Vaio VGN-FE21M with the Nvidia GeForce Go 7600. The output of lspci is attached.
If anyone needs more information please ask.

The Problem affects all versions since I switched to Ubuntu (I think I
first tried it with 7.04 or 7.10).

Thank you,
Josef

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
