1, I've noticed that you used this string ""www.getmyip.org
whatismyip.org". This could be a just a typo, and just in case, there's
no need to use any quotation mark in the interface line.

2, It seems that the accessing from your pc to whatismyip.org (and
getmyip.org, too) is laggy (giplet will update ip address when
preference dialog is closing). Are you experiencing a long wait in
accessing whatismyip.org from a web browser? If so, you could try to
find a server closer to you as a temporary solution. Maybe a paste of
"ping whatismyip.org" could help.

Currently, there's no timeout set in giplet when it tries to connect to
a web page, which could be a hidden trouble. I'll see what I can do. I
believe things will be better with next release :)
