** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

With the latest intel/xorg Jaunty kit, I'm getting a lot of hard locks
on GM965. I have 2:2.6.1-1ubuntu1 driver and xorg core
  2:1.5.99.902-0ubuntu1 with kernel 2.6.28-6.17 on amd64. The machine (a
ThinkPad X61 Tablet with a VGA monitor attached to the UltraBase) just
freezes when I'm using no particular program, for example Firefox or
- Nedit or whatever. Afterwards the computer does not respond to any kind
- of user input.
+ Nedit or whatever. Afterwards the mouse cursor moves but mouse clicks
+ do nothing and the keyboard does not respond.

There is no output in dmesg or xorg.log
